Denny Moyer, a founding member and current CEO of the Ensight Skills Center for Low Vision Rehabilitation in Fort Collins, Colorado and the Curtis Strong Center for the Visually Impaired in Greeley, Colorado directs programs which focus on providing people with vision loss the tools, counseling and training that empowers independent and productive living. 

Denny has been visually impaired from Stargardt's Macular Degeneration since age 19 and has the ability and empathy to share her personal and professional experience with those she serves at the Centers. As an Occupational Therapy Practitioner with extensive education in low vision, Denny has established herself as a professional in this field

In 2001 Moyer, along with the support of the Fort Collins Lions Club established the first low vision center in Colorado. Nineteen years later, Ensight Skills Center is the only nationally accredited low vision center in Colorado, having served over 90,000 people.


Jenice Heck is the Vice President of Vision Rehabilitation Services at Lighthouse Louisiana. 

She received a BS degree in Occupational Therapy from the LSU Medical Center School of Allied Health Professions in 1996 and a MS degree in Mass Communications from the LSU Manship School of Mass Communication in 2003. She has been an Occupational Therapist for more than 20 years with broad experience in inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation. Jenice joined the Lighthouse in 2003 to develop its vision rehabilitation programs. Since then, she has built a strong interdisciplinary team of vision rehab professionals and a comprehensive array of holistic programs that have grown to serve the regions of New Orleans and Baton Rouge, spanning Southeast Louisiana. She continues to work to foster public awareness of vision loss, providing sensitivity training and recommendations to enhance accessibility in public venues. Having been born with a vision impairment, Jenice uses her life experiences to motivate and empower others who are blind or have low vision. In 2020 Jenice started the Insight4Blind channel on YouTube to share her personal knowledge and experience as a blind OT. She has always viewed her blindness as an asset, often stating, "Vision loss does not mean that you cannot function like everyone else. It simply means that you need to learn how to do things differently."

Nilima Tanna OTR/L, SCLV, CLVT

Nilima is an experienced low vision Occupational therapist, having worked in the field of low vision since 1997. She has been awarded Specialty Certification in Low Vision from the American Occupational Therapy Association and is a certified low vision therapist from ACVREP.

She is a member of the Practice, Ethics and Reimbursement Committee at OT Association of California. Nilima has worked in low vision in multiple settings including Private practice, Non-profit and Academic in multiple roles- Entrepreneur, business coach, clinician, program development and AVP low vision services. She is passionate about empowering Occupational therapists, her clients with an understanding about their vision and how best to maximize that vision to age in place and have an improved quality of life and the community regarding the role of Occupational therapists in low vision.

Daniel Norris 

is the Director of Adult Services with the Vermont Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired and has been with the agency since 2004. He received his Master's Degree in Education: Special Education from Portland State University. He is a Certified Vision Rehabilitation Therapist, Certified Orientation Mobility Specialist and a Teacher of the Visually Impaired. He also is the VRT Program Coordinator and Methods Instructor for UMass Boston since May of 2014. Daniel is a graduate of both the Orientation and Mobility program as well as the Vision Rehabilitation Therapy Program at the University of Massachusetts in Boston. He participated in a five year project with the Vermont Sensory Access Project to become a DeafBlind Consultant. Daniel serves as the incoming Chair of the AERBVI CVRT Division, assists on the AER Recruitment Committee, the Higher Education Accreditation Commission and co-chairs the Subject Matter Expert Committee for Vision Rehabilitation Therapy for ACVREP. Daniel Norris is visually impaired himself, having developed a juvenile form of Macular Degeneration at the age of eight. In this role he has acted as a mentor and role model for many transition aged children in the state of Vermont.
